Building a better sentinel

We left early this morning (9.30 am) to our sentinel on the same place than yesterday. But because barbecuing human meat on the sun is not our most liked designation we took an umbrella and other tools for making it a peacefuller place. While Maenu I and Christophe were building the table we destroyed the small hole and put the umbrella in place and started to fill up the bottom with stones and earth. There was always one person observing the (very nice) region and from now on he sits in cool shadow :) The rest of us continued our work which we'll probably finish tomorrow - hoping that we get the same sentinel tomorrow ;) As foreseen we couldn't determine some fires so at noon we got the backup and left for eating, washing and Siesta... After five we'll continue to repair the gate we started yesterday and after that we do some other stuff - as long as there's something to do there is no problem :)

Small notice: We can't use the suction pump on our fire truck and there's a lot of other helpful material missing but since yesterday we got a laptop with a software which tells us details about a car (where's the battery located, tank and so on) - useful for car accidents. It's only a question about priorities ;)

Another word about our backup. Yesterday there were only 2 people coming. Due to some german guys who preferred to drink beer, play with the water from the hydrant and use the stretcher for sunbathing our today's backup consisted of about ten people... It looks like Nikos wanted them to do better things *smile*

Find below some pics of today:

The new created table

A new butterfly - also nice but less than the one yesterday.

The ground in middle time - already a bit filled and equilibrated

Like this it was yesterday: Barbecuing human meat!

And that's how we left the place for the backup

And last and least the gorgeous view to greek landscape - note that on the horizon would be the sea :D
